John Joannides

John is the Owner and Director of John Joannides & Co LLC. John graduated with an LL.B (Hons) and an LL.M International Commercial Law with Distinction from the University of Leicester; he completed his studies at the University of Nottingham with an M.Sc. in International Business before returning to Cyprus to qualify as an Advocate. He was admitted to the Cyprus Bar in 2005.

John started his career by training to qualify at Tassos Papadopoulos & Associates LLC, the law office of the incumbent President of Cyprus at the time. John specialised in fiduciary and corporate services at industry leaders, namely, Trident Trust (Cyprus) and Citco Cyprus before returning to practice at another of Cyprus’ renowned law firms, Antis Triantafyllides & Sons LLC where he remained for over 6 years.

John’s international corporate, commercial and transactional experience was gained by managing and heading large portfolios of investment funds and corporate clients, as well as HNWIs. John has acted as Cyprus counsel in a number of widely publicised M&As for well known multinational companies, as well as acquiring in depth expertise in financing and restructuring transactions.

John is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association & the International Bar Association.

Anthea Christofini

Anthea is an experienced corporate, wealth structuring and property lawyer, with over 16 years experience in Cyprus corporate and asset restructuring transactions. She obtained her LL.B with Honours from King’s College, London, she then went on to earn an MBA at the prestigious Cyprus International Institute of Management.

Anthea expertise lies in Cyprus corporate law with a particular focus on property, assets and wealth, including the formation, managment and re-structuring of corporate and wealth-holding structures, the coordination of cross-border transactions (financing, M&As etc.) involving asset holding structures, drafting cross-border commercial agreements, the undertaking of forensic due diligence investigations as well as the drafting, negotiation and implementation of complex shareholders’ agreements. Anthea is fluent in all areas involving local regulatory regulations and has been involved in a number of high profile licensing projects. Anthea’s expertise in wealth structuring revolves around the formation of all manner of wealth preservation instruments and vehicles, she has advised a number of UHNWI and HNWI in forming both Cyprus and international trusts, and in the redomiciliation of their foreign trusts to Cyprus.

Anthea is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2004 and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has made a number of presentations on Cyprus International Trusts to various international organisations.

Katerina is an experienced and dedicated corporate and trust services professional. Her fiduciary career commenced at global leader in corporate secretarial services, namely, Trident Trust (Cyprus). Throughout her career Katerina has been responsible for managing large portfolios of corporate, private clients and HNWI. Katerina has been working in the trust, banking and shipping services industry since 2006. Katerina joined the Firm in 2019 and is responsible for a rapidly growing portfolio of EU private clients and HNWIs.
